Daniel Faust ~ General Manager   Daniel has been with The Slanted door group since 2015, most recently as the AGM of Out The Door in Pacific Heights. A native of California, he moved to San Francisco to further his education at San Francisco State University where his studies focused on hospitality management.

Adam Strahle  ~  Chef de Cuisine   Born and raise in Hawai'i, Adam grew his love for the culinary arts. At the age of 18 he moved to the Bay Area to start his career as a Chef looking to grow his knowledge in the restaurant world. He was classically trained in french cuisine at the Le Cordon Bleu academy here in San Francisco. Shortly after school he worked in a number of restaurants such as Pres A Vi, FuzeBox, and Mezze.  Adam Joined the Slanted Door Group in 2017 as a sous chef at Rice and Bones working with Chef Dong Choi. In early 2019, Adam has taken on the position of Chef de Cuisine at Hard Water.

Adam Joined the Slanted Door Group in 2017 as a sous chef at Rice and Bones working with Chef Dong Choi. In early 2019, Adam has taken on the position of Chef de Cuisine at Hard Water.

Erik Adkins ~ Bar Director   Erik Adkins has been bartending in San Francisco since 1993. He is responsible for the bar program at the Slanted Door Group and for designing, opening, and managing multiple bars including Hard water. He has also designed the bar program at Flora in Oakland.  With cocktails appearing in several national magazines and newspapers, Erik’s bar menus reflect an eye for detail and execution that defines craft cocktails and respect for ingredients and responsible agriculture that is the San Francisco Bay Area.  Erik likes to show case spirits and cocktails that demonstrate a link to agriculture and to a specific place and time in history. He is grateful to be bartending at a time when there are so many passionate and talented people involved in the resurgence of the American cocktail.

Erik Adkins has been bartending in San Francisco since 1993. He is responsible for the bar program at the Slanted Door Group and for designing, opening, and managing multiple bars including Hard water. He has also designed the bar program at Flora in Oakland.
